I took this picture behind a men's clothing store in downtown Salt Lake. I actually saw it days before and returned with my camera to take it, but WHY? I can't explain that part. Anyway, I hope you like it, too.
Mostly I just want to post a comment on your blog...but I really like this picture. I think the sign is great. It's simple, plain, honest. HOTEL Nothing fancy, no advertising schemes, but it has its charm in just saying it like it is. HOTEL. Take it or leave it.
Thanks, Ivy. Great comment! I think you nailed it -- they don't make signs like this anymore without logos and trademarks all over the place, and that probably explains why it appealed to me.
